General terms of service

Last updated: October 14, 2026

Caftanium's role as an intermediary between customers and boutiques, and the terms that apply to boutiques listing their pieces.

Translation provided for information; the French version prevails.

Caftanium connects customers with independent caftan and traditional-wear boutiques. Caftanium acts solely as a technical intermediary: the platform presents pieces, passes on requests and makes contact easier.

  • Renting, selling, fittings, payment, deposits, handover and return of pieces are handled exclusively by the boutique, in store.
  • The rental or sale contract is concluded directly between the customer and the boutique; Caftanium is not a party to it.
  • Caftanium takes no commission on rentals or sales and collects no money on behalf of boutiques.

Caftanium is free for customers. Prices shown (daily rental price, deposit, sale price) are set by each boutique. A request binds the boutique only once it has confirmed it; check the boutique's terms (deposit, duration, condition, return) before you commit.

By listing on Caftanium, the boutique undertakes to:

  • provide accurate information: identity, address, opening hours, prices, sizes, condition and availability of pieces;
  • hold the rights to the photos and texts it publishes, including those produced with the platform's assistance tools, and check them before publishing;
  • answer requests within a reasonable time and honour confirmed requests;
  • clearly inform customers, before any rental or sale, of its terms: deposit, duration, late returns, damage, returns, exchanges and refunds;
  • give a receipt for every payment and comply with applicable law, notably Law 31-08 on consumer protection and Law 09-08 on personal data for the contact details it receives;
  • use customers' contact details only to handle their request.

Caftanium may verify the boutique's identity (company documents) before publication, then suspend a boutique or remove a piece in case of misleading information, repeated complaints or breach of these terms.

Some features for boutiques are offered on a subscription basis. Current plans, prices and durations are shown in the boutique area; a plan change is requested there and takes effect once approved by Caftanium. Billing and payment terms are communicated to the boutique before any subscription.

Reviews are posted by customers who have been in contact with the boutique. A boutique may not write, buy or have removed reviews of its own pieces; it may report an abusive review to contact@caftanium.com.

Each boutique is solely responsible for its pieces, its prices, its commitments to customers and the performance of rentals and sales. Caftanium is responsible only for the proper operation of the matchmaking platform.

If a dispute arises between a customer and a boutique, Caftanium may, at the request of either party, pass on messages and recall the commitments made on the platform, without acting in place of the boutique.

A boutique may ask to close its space at any time at contact@caftanium.com. These terms are governed by Moroccan law; failing an amicable agreement, the competent courts of the Kingdom of Morocco will have jurisdiction.
